What is the forwarding address we should use?

What is the uniform standard?
TA50 will be issued on ground once you arrive to Fort Gregg-Adams. You will wear OCPs, patrol cap, and authorized boots. Refer to AR 670-1, wearing of uniform for further guidance.
It is also required for you to bring your dress uniform (AGSU or ASU) / class A equivalent for other services.
The following patches are considered acceptable: Follow-on unit, ASU school patch, assigned Division Patch. (Note: ROTC and USMA patches are not authorized for wear.)
What if I just got married and I already leased an apartment, can I live off post?
Students that receive PCS orders are authorized to reside off post.
All other students will reside on Fort Gregg-Adams in IHG, conveniently located next to the Army Sustainment University.

If TDY to BOLC, do I get per diem?
Yes, if your orders have you TDY to BOLC, you will receive per diem.

If TDY, where will I live?
All personnel on TDY will reside in the IHG hotel.

Can I bring my family with me? Pets? Service Animals?
TDY status: You are not authorized to bring dependents or any pets/service animals.
PCS status: Dependents are authorized, and pets are allowed but understand there are weeks within the course where you are training and will not be authorized to tend to your pets daily.
If Reserve or National Guard, can I receive BAH for my mortgage or lease back home?
Yes, you must bring a copy of your lease/mortgage contract. Additionally, if married bring your marriage certificate.
Can I take leave while in BOLC?
Yes, but only under certain circumstances. You are only allowed to miss cumulatively 40 hours of instruction, with one full day equaling eight hours. There will be plenty of opportunities to take passes over the duration of the course.
We encourage all students to plan travel or vacations during these designated pass periods.
Can I bring a personally owned firearm with me?
We strongly recommend you do not bring a firearm with you.
However, if you do it MUST REGISTER THE FIREARM AT THE GREGG GATE BEFORE BRINGING IT ON POST! If TDY and living in the hotel, the firearm will remain stored in the ALU arms room.
Ensure you inform your TAC if you have a registered firearm and will be bringing it with you.
Also, ensure you receive your mandatory counseling for possessing a personally owned firearm while in BOLC from the Company Commander.
Will I receive any other certifications by graduating BOLC, other than branch certified?
No, although BOLC training provides a strong foundation for specific domains, i.e. UMO, Soldiers are not certified in these areas.
If a Soldier has arrived to Fort Gregg-Adams before his or her class start date, or remains at Fort Gregg-Adams after graduation, the Soldier may enroll and graduate from additional courses pending availability and scheduling.
If I am traveling a long way and won't have enough time to change, can I wear civilian clothes to in process?
The duty uniform for in processing is OCPs, patrol cap and authorized boots. If traveling far, there are latrines and locker rooms located on Fort Gregg-Adams where you can change prior to in processing.
What if my report date is before the official class start date, is it possible to join an earlier class?
Yes, pending availability it is possible to class-up early.
If you are unable to start class early your time at Gregg-Adams will be spent doing physical training, jobs attached to units around Fort Gregg-Adams, taking courses, and offering logistical standby support.
Where can I get a map of Fort Gregg-Adams?
I just commissioned, where do I need to report?
Report to Army Sustainment University at 562 Quarters Rd, Bldg. 12420. Take all instructions from the ASU Staff Duty Desk.
Will I be quarantined when I report to ASU?
No. If you report to BOLC with COVID-19 symptoms, you will be isolated for 3 days or until symptoms no longer persist.
What is the current status of ACFT and ABCP procedures?
You must pass an ACFT to be considered a graduate of the Basic Officer Leader Course.
ABCP remains in effect, and you are expected to remain within standards prior to your arrival and through the duration of the course. IAW with Army Directive, students who score a 540 or above with 80 in each event will be exempt from ABCP enrollment but will still be evaluated at the beginning of the course.
Who does this General Order Number 1 apply to and is it punitive?
General Order Number 1 applies to all individuals subject to military orders, stationed, assigned, and or attached to Fort Gregg-Adams, VA. It also provides guidelines to members of Fort Gregg-Adams Community not subject to military orders.
Who is required to use DTS for temporary duty assignments?
Active-duty Army, Army Reserve and Army National Guard members on temporary duty assignments are to use DTS, unless that assignment was in a combat zone or qualified hazardous duty area. Documents are submitted, processed, and approved at the organization responsible for funding the travel. Once approved by the organizational approving official, payment is electronically sent to the DFAS for payment by direct deposit (electronic funds transfer, EFT) to the traveler’s bank account.
Can BOLC assist you with your DTS payments?
BOLC cannot assist you with your DTS payments. For all DTS related questions and concerns, please speak with your Lead Defense Travel Administrator. If you are not certain who this is, please speak with your supervisor.
